Service Description
About the Instructor Sophia Eliana, Denver-based folk musician and movement artist, immersed herself in a diverse range of dance disciplines starting from the early age of three years old. Sophia Eliana’s teaching background began as a dance assistant for Dianne Lyle's Afro-Latin-Jazz classes in Pacific Grove, California. Her dedication extended to teaching contemporary-jazz fusion to students aged 6-16 and adult burlesque-jazz at Next Generation Dance Alliance in Ellsworth, Maine. Additionally, she served as a guest instructor for Dani Robbins' contemporary technique class at College of the Atlantic. Cultivating spaces of patience, empowerment, and inclusivity form the core of Sophia Eliana’s teaching philosophy. Sophia Eliana's performance career highlights include her time as a dance soloist in Berklee a Les Arts: A propósito de Elektra in Valencia, Spain, directed by Magdalini Giannikou and Clara Barbera and collaborations with Dani Robbins in dance-theatre work, "PLAYFIGHT."
